THE UFP MARSHAL

As an UFP Marshal you are required to notify the Secretary of Justice before starting a new case preliminary investigation. These case preliminary investigations are fictional in nature and are to be pursued just as vigorously as one would investigate a real case preliminary investigation. In this area, your imagination is your only limit. However, a UFP Marshal may be called upon by the Secretary of Justice to perform actual real case preliminary investigations concerning actual UFP incidents, these assignments will come directly from the Secretary of Justice and will require the UFP Marshal to utilize information gathering techniques as specified in the case preliminary investigation assignment.

In either case, progress reports should be sent to the Secretary of Justice on a monthly basis to keep the Secretary informed on the progress of either case preliminary investigation. In the case of an actual real case preliminary investigation, the Secretary of Justice may require more frequent reports and will include this information in the case preliminary investigation assignment.

It is important to remember that whether on a fictional or a real case preliminary investigation UFP Marshal are NOT real police officers and are NOT PERMITTED to carry any type of real firearm or real weapon of any type UFP Marshal are also NOT authorized to make real arrests since any case preliminary investigation is simply an information gathering process and does not involve any real criminal act. Any real criminal act will be reported to the police for investigation and prosecution. The UFP Department of Justice only prosecutes fictional crimes committed in a role-playing scenario and the UFP Marshal may make fictional arrests in these cases.

The UFP Marshal should be very familiar with the UFP Constitution since this is where all or most of the UFP laws are found. The UFP Constitution is a tool to be used in case investigations by the UFP Marshal to insure the rights of every UFP member are protected. The UFP constitution is always being evaluated and amended so the dedicated UFP Marshal will always check to insure that they have the most recent copy.

The UFP Marshal should always wear UFP Marshal Service Identification Badge when conducting a case preliminary investigation and always identify themselves "UFP Marshal".

The UFP Marshal does not have authority over a member of the UFP Security Council or it’s Federated Security Agency agents.

As an official representative of the UFP Department of Justice the UFP Marshal should always be friendly, courteous and polite. These attributes reflect highly on the professionalism of the UFP Department of Justice and the UFP Marshal Service.
