STARBASE UFPHQ
Starbase UFPHQ is the primary chapter of the United Federated Planets and is the home of all UFP members who have either not selected a home chapter or wish to be associate members of the UFP. Starbase UFPHQ serves as an ALL sectors chapter to accommodate the needs of all the UFP members who join the chapter. The chapter is commanded by ADM. Mike Ferguson, the Chief Executive Officer and President of the United Federated Planets, Incorporated and current President of the United Federated Planets (fan club) government.
There are NO chapter dues. The only requirement is that the members be active UFP members.
Starbase UFPHQ will serve as an active chapter as well for local UFP members who do not have a home chapter so that they may become active in the fandom fun of the UFP.
The chapter meetings will be held on the second Saturday of each month, barring bad weather conditions, beginning at 4:00 PM with our social time and continuing until we finish. The meetings will be held at Starbase UFPHQ located at 300 w. Oak Street in Midwest City, OK 73110, see map our E-mail address is mikeferg1@yahoo.com . So, if you are an active UFP member without a chapter, you are welcome to come aboard and have some fun.
CHAPTER ACTIVITIES
Field trips to Celebration Station, the Oklahoma City Zoo, the Omniplex, Frontier City and other member selected sites.
Dining out is also fun for special events.
Parties for the various holidays.
Pot luck meals at the meetings so no one misses their supper.
Cook outs / picnics on the grounds.
Doing charity activities for our local Cerebral Palsy Center and the Children's Hospital along with supporting other local charitable organizations.
Other activities suggested by the chapter members.

COMMAND STAFF JOB DESCRIPTIONS
OPERATIONS OFFICER
Prepares the Operations reports for the starbase newsletter. Coordinates activities with other chapters along with the Executive Officer. Contacts all Department Chiefs one week before each meeting or special event to insure that all Starbase UFPHQ personnel are informed of the meeting. Department Chiefs are to contact the Operations Officer once they have contacted their personnel to advise on who will be attending, who will not be attending and who may or may not attend. The Operations Officer then provides this information to the Executive Officer who then informs the Station Commander. His role-playing duties include the safe operations of the starbase and proper ship defensive systems operations.
CHIEF ENGINEERING OFFICER
Prepares the Engineering report for the starbase newsletter. Assists with recruiting for the starbase. Coordinates the meeting area set-up and clean up with the other Department Chief Officers. His role playing duties would be in repairing current starbase systems and stations.
UFP MARINE CORPS ATTACHMENT OFFICER
Works closely with the Chief of Security to provide starbase security services. Reports to the Executive Officer on matters regarding the UFP Marine Corps personnel attached to the Starfleet Command starbase. His role playing duties would include strike force operations on hostile spacecraft and planets along with providing strict security to the bridge and engineering areas of the starbase.
INTELLIGENCE OFFICER
He is in charge of the Intelligence Department. Prepares the intelligence reports for the starbase newsletter. Collects information on conventions and upcoming events to share with the crew. In role-playing he has access to privileged information, and will access any potential threat to his starbase and SC itself. He can set up code names and numbers for those in his Department. He may be asked to investigate any matter of concern to his starbase and SC. His reports are to be given to the starbase Commanding Officer and in some cases to the Chief Intelligence Officer of Starfleet Command.
PERSONNEL OFFICER
Prepares the personnel reports for the starbase newsletter. Prepares and maintains the starbases personnel files on the starbases crew. Notifies the Executive Officer when a crewmember deserves a specific award and records the issuance of that award. His role playing duties would be in coordinating the assignment of the crew to various posts based on his knowledge of their abilities and training with the Executive Officer.
COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
Prepares and distributes the starbase newsletter and the new members packets for the starbase. Handles any correspondence members by maintaining an open communications with them. His role playing duties would be to communicate with various starbases and Starfleet Command to pass on tactical information.
KIG UNIT COMMANDER
Responsible for all Klingon Imperial Guard members aboard Starbase UFPHQ. Works closely with the Security Department to aid in Starbase security. Prepares the KIG Unit article for the newsletter. His role-playing duties would include assisting in Starbase security operations.
UFP-FBI OPERATIONS AGENT IN CHARGE
Responsible for all UFP-FBI Special Agents assigned to Starbase UFPHQ. Works closely with the Security Department. His role-playing duties would include the performance of criminal investigations as assigned by the UFP-FBI Director or as requested by the Starbase Commander.
